Cayleigh Metcalf LCMHCA (she/her)
You have inherent value and my goal is to work collaboratively with you to find the best form of therapy to fit your needs. After all the suffering you’ve endured, you shouldn’t have to go through this alone. You deserve someone who will show you empathy and compassion, cheering you on, as you become your favorite version of yourself. Together, we can find a therapeutic method that works best for you.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) specializing in trauma from childhood, depression, anxiety, self-harm, and sexual-identity. I see patients, ages 18+, who are navigating trauma and PTSD, relationship issues, and anxious/avoidant/disorganized attachment. My expertise also extends to LGBTQ+ support and polyamorous/all ethical non-monogamous relationship support.
I take an eclectic approach to therapy which mostly relies on a Rogerian Person-Centered approach with a focus on Attachment and Trauma work. I am also trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
In addition to my credentialed modes of therapeutic practice, I tailor our sessions to you through an eclectic approach. I do not believe that every type of therapy can help everyone in the same way. You deserve to have a therapist listen and adjust the sessions according to your personal and individualized needs.
I seek to create a space for all and believe therapy is for everyone. Through mindfulness and sensitivity, I hope to build a safe-house in our sessions. I provide appointments online and in-person and accept BCBS and Aetna insurances. If you have any questions or would like to discuss your specific needs, reach out to me at (910) 898-3359 or by email at cayleigh.metcalf.counseling@gmail.com.
