Liam is passionate in working with college students who struggle with multiple stressors related to school. It can be difficult for college students to complete a multitude of scholastic tasks while balancing social and family life. Rather than allowing stress to pile-up, Liam shows clients strategies that can be used to organize and prioritize while strengthening their sense of self-efficacy. Many athletes at all levels face anxiety related to performance or the overall sport. This pressure can in turn impact other areas of life. As a competitive combat sports athlete, Liam enjoys working with athletes of all ages that feel like they are in a slump. Therapy is a place that athletes, and all clients may strengthen sense of self and learn mental tactics to promote optimal performance. Liam additionally enjoys working with African American clients facing societal burdens and race-related issues. Clients may be dealing with problems that stem from sociopolitical stressors and discrimination. Liam utilizes therapy as a space to unpack race-related trauma that clients may not have the opportunity to discuss elsewhere. Active listening and strengths perspective are tools utilized in session that may help a client attune to their cultural sense of self.
